Semen Gresik & SOE Ministry Organize Training on Successful Strategies to Utilize Social Media for Rembang MSMEs

Rembang, July 31, 2023 Semen Gresik via Rumah BUMN (RB) Rembang with PT Semen Indonesia (Perseroan) Tbk (SIG) & Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) organized a training entitled “Strategi Sukses Jualan di Sosmed: Konten Menarik Auto Dilirik” (lit. Successful Strategies of Selling on Social Media: Interesting Content for Intense Interest) at Rumah BUMN Rembang (Jul. 28). The training was organized as a part of Program Pendidikan Kewirausahaan Kementerian BUMN RI (lit. Entrepreneurship Education Program of the Ministry of SOE of Indonesia).

The training was attended by Koordinator Bidang TJSL (CSR Coordinator) of the Ministry of SOE Hera Zera, General Manager of CSR of SIG Edy Saraya, Senior Manager of Communication & CSR of PT Semen Gresik Dharma Sunyata, CEO of RB Rembang Yeni Indah Lestari, and social media expert Javid Faekar.

The CSR Coordinator of the Ministry of SOE, Hera Zera, expressed her appreciation of the full support provided by RB Rembang of Semen Gresik and SIG in organizing the training for MSMEs, so that the MSMEs could further advance their businesses.

“This activity is a function of the corporate social responsibility of the Ministry of SOE in a series of entrepreneurial, educational programs. It is expected that [the activity will] provide benefits to MSMEs so that they can advance to the next level. This is especially the case as the companies have greatly supported [them], including by bringing the MSMEs’ products to “go global” at international fairs,” she said.

Meanwhile, the General Manager of CSR of SIG, Edy Saraya, explained that RB Rembang had consistently provided the best endeavors to push and support the development of the assisted MSMEs, one of which was the organization of various training and MSME competence-upgrading activities in cooperation with professional speakers.

“The company is always committed to empowering the assisted MSMEs in a continuous manner, especially in the aspects of supporting marketing and promotion. The training is, therefore, expected to improve the MSMEs’ competence, particularly in how to win the competition on the rapidly growing digital platforms or social media,” he stated.

Edi Saraya added that since its establishment 3 years ago, RB Rembang had successfully had total sales of Rp 2.8 billion, and assisted more than 272 MSMEs to advance to the next level. It even successfully accomplished the achievement of sending thousands of commodities produced by Rembang MSMEs to go global by participating in the Tong Tong Fair in the Hague, the Netherlands, in September 2022.

“The training was fun, [and] we were taught strategies on how to create attractive social media content. I would like to thank the Ministry of SOE, SIG, and Semen Gresik for their constant support for the MSMEs of Rembang,” owner of Batik Lasem MSME Sekar Mulyo, Bella Ayu Paramitha, stated.
